This poster announces a fair to held in Salina, Kansas, sponsored by the Saline County Agricultural, Horticultural & Mechanical Association. Highlights of the fair include speed trials each day, fine fruits and vegetable displays, and reduced railroad rates. The poster includes many color illustrations of livestock, produce, and horse and high wheel bicycle racing. Activities include baseball games, bands, and running races. The fair is held in Oakdale Park, Salina, Kansas.

A view of an unidentified band marching in formation in a Midian Temple parade in Wichita, Kansas. Also visible are spectators, buildings and businesses along the city street, utility poles and power lines, a streetcar and streetcar tracks, automobiles, a bicycle and streetlights. The parade may have been associated with the Peerless Prophets Jubilee, a civic festival held in September or October beginning in 1908.

Large red steel bicycle with an aluminum basket on the front and a rack attached to the rear. This is a Montgomery Ward Hawthorne bicycle purchased by Hiram Dickson in 1934 for $34. Dickson raised the money from the sale of pigs he had raised for 4-H projects. He used the bicycle to ride to the Admire High School in Kansas. Dickson later married and moved his family to Topeka where his two sons used the bicycle to deliver the Topeka Journal in 1954. Welding on the pedals was done at the Admire Blacksmith Shop.

This photograph shows a woman with a baby in a carriage and a man on a bicycle that has been uniquely adapted for rail use in Bourbon County, Kansas. The bicycle attachment may be the one manufactured by the C. A. Coey Co. of Chicago, Illinois, and frequently advertised in railroad magazines at that time as a way to avoid the dirt and mud of unpaved roads and streets.

Bicycle races are promoted on this Seneca, Kansas, fair poster. Only amateurs are allowed to participate with an entry fee of 50 cents a race. Prizes are displayed at Walter Sperling's, jeweler. J. J. Knepp is the president and John Stowell is the secretary of the fair association.

These photographs show views of the Cheney Drug Company store in Cheney, Kansas. The first photograph shows an exterior view of the Cheney Drug Company located in the Collins and Joslyn Building. Four men are visible standing in front of the store, and a sign below the windows advertises drugs and soda water. The offices above the drug store are identified as those of Dr. Artman, M. D., and the telephone office. The business to the left of the drug store is identified as Robert King Jewelry Store. Four men are visible near the front of the store on the right side of the picture, and a girl and a dog are visible in front of the store to the left of Cheney Drug Company. A horse-drawn buggy and a wagon are visible in the street. The second photograph shows an interior view of the Cheney Drug Company store. A man and woman are visible standing in the store. Many display cases are visible along both sides of the store, and shelves line the left, back, and right walls. The shelves on the left appear to be filled with bottles of chemicals and pharmacy supplies. A partially visible sign across the top of the back shelves reads, "To cure a cold in one day." The hanging sign near the middle of the picture reads, "Wise men smoke Ben-Hur cigars," and advertises the five cent price. A wall clock is visible on the left side of the back wall.

Donahoe, president, and G. P. Leavitt, secretary.

The windmill in the background was built of old automobile frames costing less than $2.00 and made the irrigation of the garden possible. The photograph was removed from the Relief Garden Program of 1935 portion of the Kansas Emergency Relief Committee collection.
