This is a photograph of Naomi Anderson standing in the center with Kristin Johnson to her left and John William Carlin to her right. They were at an election campaign event in Smolan, Kansas. Carlin was elected to the Kanas House of Representatives in 1970 and served as Speaker of the House from 1977 to 1979. In 1979 he became governor of Kansas and held office for two consecutive terms. Later he served as Archivist of the United States from May 30, 1995 to February 15, 2005.
